OSCEOLA COUNTY ,FL : Teen killed in hit and run while walking along road in Osceola on July, Saturday 8th 2017

A 17-year-old male was killed in a hit and run Saturday night in Osceola County.

The crash occurred around 9:40 p.m. Saturday at Orange Blossom Trail and Hope Street.

Joyvan Ventura Villafane, 17, was walking eastbound on Orange Blossom Trail, on the right paved shoulder, when an unknown vehicle traveled off the roadway, for an unknown reason, and struck Villafabe, troopers said.

The vehicle then fled the scene after hitting Villafane, who died from his injuries.

Troopers said the vehicle may be a dark colored SUV or Sedan with right front damage.

Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle is asked to call FHP at 407-737-2213.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
