Boulder, CO : Bus driver suspended, questioned in relation to fatal Boulder hit-and-run crash on Thursday night, November 6, 2014
The Regional Transportation District says one of its bus drivers has been suspended while police investigate a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened at the Boulder Transit Center.
RTD spokesman Scott Reed tells The Daily Camera that officers have talked to the driver, but it's not yet clear if the driver was involved in the accident. Reed says the suspension is standard procedure during a police investigation.
A 62-year-old man's body was found at the south exit of the downtown transit center Thursday night. Investigators say it appears the man, identified as Charles Marcus Dial, of Boulder, was hit by a vehicle.
Reed says police called RTD on Thursday night, and it was determined that an airport bus would have been in the area at the time of the accident.
