Roanoke, VA : Dublin woman killed in Montgomery County crash on Friday, 16th March 2018
Evelyn Martin, 70, died after being airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.
Martin was driving a 2011 Hyundai in the 3600 block of Peppers Ferry Road (Virginia 114) when a 2000 Audi crossed the center line and struck her, according to a sheriff’s office news release. Both drivers were pinned in their cars when deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office release said.
Matthew Utermark, no age given, of Roanoke, was charged with failing to drive on the right side of the road. Other charges are pending, the sheriff’s office statement said.
