Glasgow, KY : Woman injured in wreck on Friday, January 27th 2017
A local woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at West Front and North Race streets Friday, according to a Glasgow Police Department press release.
At approximately 7:50 a.m., officers responded to that intersection and determined that a 1998 BMW driven by Lucy Beauchamp, 44, of Glasgow was traveling west on Front and attempted to make a left turn onto North Race, according to the press release.
In doing so, Beauchamp turned into the path of a 2012 Nissan Sentra operated by 52-year-old Shelter Franklin, also of Glasgow, who was traveling east on Front, and the vehicles collided, causing minor to moderate damage to both vehicles, according to the press release.
Barren-Metcalfe County Emergency Medical Services transported Franklin to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported at that time, the press release stated.
