Fort Myers, FL : Two students injured in school bus crash on Palm Beach Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue on Friday morning, May 8, 2015

A crash Friday morning involving a school bus on Palm Beach Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue left two students with minor injuries.

The driver of a Ford Mustang, Lisa Hensley, 47, was cited for running a red light.

The mustang had been going east on Palm Beach Boulevard approaching Ortiz Avenue, while an AMIkids Southwest Florida bus was going north on Ortiz attempting to turn left on Palm Beach Boulevard.

Police say the Mustang ran the red light and collided with the left side of the bus.

There were five teenage students onboard the bus, according to police, who say two were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The school sent a van to transport the rest of the students to school.
