West Hempstead, NY : 22-year-old Long Island man died in two-car crash on the Southern State Parkway on Sunday, April 17, 2016

Authorities say a 22-year-old Long Island man died in an early morning two-car crash over the weekend.

State troopers say the wreck happened around 3:40 a.m. Sunday on the Southern State Parkway near West Hempstead. Investigators say an Acura collided with a sport utility vehicle, causing the car to hit several trees and a utility pole.

Authorities say Vito Errico died at the scene.

It's unclear if charges will be filed in the crash.
