NEW HAVEN, VT : Speeding motorcyclists caused fatal crash on Saturday, August 26, 2017
Vermont State Police say a crash that killed a 29-year-old motorcyclist was caused when he tried to speed away from a trooper and collided with another motorcyclist.
Authorities say a trooper tried to stop a group of motorcyclists speeding on Route 7 in New Haven Saturday afternoon, but only one stopped as the rest raced off. They say Christopher Dusablon came upon a second state police cruiser a short distance away and quickly tried to turn left. He collided with another motorcyclist, 25-year-old Joshua Morris, before they struck a pickup truck.
Morris, of Bakersfield, was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered a broken left ankle. Dusablon, of Essex Junction, was pinned beneath the truck and later pronounced dead at a hospital. The pickup driver wasn’t injured.
Morris was issued a court citation for driving with a suspended license.
