Miller, MO : Mount Vernon man hurt in motorcycle accident on Route N in Lawrence County on Saturday, October 22, 2016

A Mount Vernon man was injured about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in a motorcycle accident about 9 miles east of Miller on Route N in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Scott Williams, 37, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred, the patrol said, when Williams' southbound cycle began to slide and then ran off of the road.
