Abbeville, SC : One person killed in a single-vehicle crash in Abbeville County on Sunday morning, December 21, 2014

Troopers with the SC Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Abbeville County on Sunday morning. The crash was reported just after 9:30 a.m. on Jets Landing Road near Highway 284. Troopers said a 2014 Ford Fiesta was driving east on Jets Landing Road when the car ran off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and then hit a tree. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. No other passengers were in the car. The coroner identified the victim as Kandace Lewis, 23, of Abbeville.
