Lake George, NY : Two Porter Corners residents were injured after an SUV hit the motorcycle they were riding occurred at Lake Shore Drive on Sunday, April 17th, 2016

Two Porter Corners residents were injured Sunday and transported to Glens Falls Hospital after an SUV hit the motorcycle they were riding, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

Police said the 12:09 p.m. crash took place on Lake Shore Drive when a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Nicholas Zappolo, 45, of Webster failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 55-year-

old Michael Schulte.

None of the occupants of Zappolo’s vehicle was injured, but Schulte and his passenger, Rilla Schulte, 55, were injured and transported by Lake George EMS and Warrensburg EMS.

Police said the injuries sustained by the Schultes were not life-threatening, but Michael Schulte was transferred to Albany Medical Center due to a severe shoulder and arm injury.

Zappolo was issued a traffic violation for failure to yield the right of way with a future appearance in Lake George Town Court.

The Lake George Fire Department also responded to the scene.
