Glen Rock, PA : One man dead after head-on crash in York County on Wednesday, Sep 2, 2015
A York man died Wednesday at the scene of a Manheim Township crash in the 5000 block of Lineboro Road, confirmed York County Coroner Pam Gay.
The York County Coroner's Office identified the man as Michael Golden Jr., 32, of the first block of Hudson Drive in York.
Golden was driving a Volkswagen traveling east on Lineboro Road and crossed the center line, striking a jeep in a head-on collision. Golden was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. There will be no autopsy and the cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma due to a two-vehicle crash, according to tweets from the coroner's office.
Southwestern Regional Police Department is investigating the crash, and next of kin has been notified, the coroner's office said.
The other driver was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries, said Don Fair, public information officer for Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department in Maryland.
Police arrived at the scene on Lineboro Road shortly after 5 p.m., he said.
