Flagstaff, AZ : 19-year-old man dead and five other people injured after car crashes into trees in Flagstaff on Tuesday morning, Nov 3, 2015

A 19-year-old man is dead and five other people are injured after a car accident in Flagstaff.

Flagstaff police say Elijah Begay died from injuries suffered in Tuesday morning's accident.

They say six passengers in the car — including Begay — were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center.

Police say one of the remaining passengers is in critical condition and the other four are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

They say almost all of the passengers are students at Ponderosa High School in Flagstaff.

Police say the car's driver failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle struck several trees lining a building.

They say it appears speed was a factor in the crash.

Police didn't immediately release any information about who was driving the car.
