SOLON, OH : Boy, 13, crashes stolen vehicle during chase in Solon on Thursday, 26th August 2021

A 13-year-old boy is in custody Thursday after police say he crashed a stolen vehicle while trying to elude officers, then tried to steal another vehicle at gunpoint.

At about 3:17 p.m. Thursday, a license-plate reader camera near Harper Road and U.S. 422 notified police of a stolen vehicle in the area. An officer spotted the gray 2019 Toyota 4-Runner driving west on Aurora Road near Camp Industrial Parkway.
