Lehigh County, PA : Three people injured in two-vehicle crash in North Whitehall on Tuesday night, May 3, 2016

Three people were hurt Tuesday night when two vehicles collided, pushing one into a utility pole on Old Post Road in North Whitehall Township, according to emergency radio reports and witnesses.

A sport utility vehicle collided with the driver's side of a car in the 10:40 p.m. crash that snapped the pole and trapped at least one person in the car on Old Post Road at Levans Road, dispatchers said. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

Information on the accident and the condition of the injured were not available.

Old Post Road was shut down by fire police while a rescue crew freed the driver from the car. State police also were on the scene.
