FITCHBURG, WI : 17-year-old in police custody after vehicle theft, hit-and-run crash on Monday, 11th February 2019

A Madison teenager was arrested Sunday on suspicion of causing a hit-and-run crash while driving a stolen truck.

Fitchburg police said it happened around 7 p.m. Sunday when officers were following two stolen vehicles.

Police said the vehicles started speeding and running red lights before officers turned on their emergency lights.

According to the release, one of the two stolen vehicle was later involved in a hit-and-run crash on McKee Road, near Seminole Highway in Fitchburg. The driver hit in the crash was able to follow the stolen vehicle, a 2018 Ford F-150 truck.
