Bluefield, WV : One person injured following ATV crash in McDowell on Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 2016

One person was transported to hospital following an ATV accident on the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System Tuesday afternoon.

“We had an ATV accident,” Northfork Fire Department Chief Eric Graham said. “One patient has been taken to Bluefield Regional Medical Center.”

Graham said he was unsure of the seriousness of the injuries to the patient.

The incident occurred on trail 19.

“It’s going to be trail 19, Hatfield-McCoy, which is Northfork Hollow, ” Graham said. “The patient actually came to the fire department.”

According to Graham, the incident occurred approximately three miles from the Northfork Fire Department.

The Northfork Fire Department and McDowell County Ambulance Authority responded to the incident.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m.
