Oologah, OK : Talala man killed when thrown from motorcycle on Highway 169 in Rogers County on Sunday night, Aug 9, 2015

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an 18-year-old Talala man was killed when he was thrown from his motorcycle on Highway 169.

Troopers say Tyler Rodgers died in the Sunday night crash between Oologah and Talala.

Troopers say Rodgers was northbound when he braked to avoid another vehicle, then lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle. Troopers say Rodgers was thrown more than 200 feet while the motorcycle continued on for more than 600 feet before coming to rest.
