Montgomery, AL : Madison County crash leaves one dead, two injured on Saturday, 17th September 2016

A crash Saturday in Madison County left one person dead and two others injured.

Jeffery Craig Baker, of Huntsville, was driving a 2014 Hyundai when he struck Khadijah Shoulders' 2009 Nissan, Trooper Curtis Summerville said.

Baker, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Shoulders, 22, and a passenger in her car were transported to a local hospital for their injuries.

The accident happened at 5:10 p.m. on Steger Road, eight miles north of Huntsville.

While Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the crash, preliminary reports indicate speed was a factor.
