Bluefield, VA : One person injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 460 in Tazewell County on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2016

One person was flown to a Bristol, Tenn. hospital Wednesday morning after being injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 460 in Tazewell County, Va.

The crash was reported at 6:23 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Route 460 near Camp Joy, according to a dispatcher with Tazewell County 911. First responders reported that one person was out of the vehicle, and a second was bleeding and possibly had a fractured leg after being partially ejected, the dispatcher said.

The Bluefield,Va. Fire Department and the Bluefield, Va. Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene, and the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office is investigating. After a landing zone was set up, the crash victim was flown by helicopter to a Bristol hospital.
