Atlanta, GA : A Ponte Vedra Beach man died in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday, June 10, 2017

A Ponte Vedra Beach man died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 on Saturday.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Kellon Wilson, 21, was driving west on I-10 in the right lane near mile marker 279 around 5:25 p.m.

According to FHP, Wilson’s 2004 Honda CRV traveled off the road and into the grass shoulder on the north side of the interstate for unknown reasons.

The vehicle continued into the grass in a northwest direction, the report states, and hit two trees in the wood line.

According to the report, the vehicle then caught fire, consuming the vehicle and the driver.

Wilson was pronounced deceased on the scene, according to FHP.
