Bridgewater, VA : Staunton man injured after crash in Rockingham County on Wednesday, October 26, 2016
A Staunton man injured in a Rockingham County crash Wednesday was listed in fair condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center on Thursday morning, according to a hospital official.
Virginia State Police said Michael Armentrout, 25, of Staunton, was behind the wheel of a 2000 Nissan pickup and headed east on Va. 727 near Bridgewater when he reportedly crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming 2008 Chevrolet pickup.
Police said Armentrout was airlifted from the scene to U.Va. Medical Center in Charlottesville. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 20-year-old McGaheysville man, was not injured.
The wreck took place at 8:19 a.m., police said.
No charges have been filed.
