HUNTERSVILLE, NC : One killed, two injured in crash on I-77 NB in Huntersville on Tuesday, 21st May 2019

One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 77 in Huntersville early Tuesday morning.
The single-vehicle wreck happened around 2:45 a.m. on I-77 northbound after Exit 23, closing the interstate past Gilead Road for a time.
The Huntersville Fire Department says a vehicle went off the roadway, traveled behind a guard rail and struck a metal pole. Three people were in the car at the time.
“One died on scene, the other 2 were transported to CMC-Main,” fire officials say.
