Shawnee, OK : Tecumseh man dies from injuries in crash west of Stevens Road on Thursday night, January 5, 2017

A Tecumseh man was killed late Thursday night in a crash on Highland Road just west of Stevens Road in Tecumseh.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Thomas Newton Miller III, 33, Tecumseh, was pronounced deceased at St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital.

Troopers said Miller was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup westbound on Highland Road when he lost control of the pickup and it departed the roadway to the right and struck an embankment. The truck rolled approximately one time and the driver was ejected, the patrol noted.

Two passengers were not injured.

The patrol said cause of the accident is under investigation.

Trooper Matthew Snyder, #828 of the Pottawatomie County detachment of Troop A, worked the and was assisted by Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office and Pink Fire Department.
