Madison County, AL : Maryville man killed in car crash on Interstate 270 Wednesday November 4 2015

Steven Atteberry, 68, of Maryville was killed Wednesday when his car left Interstate 270 and struck a tree, according to the Madison County Coroner's office.
Atteberry was traveling westbound on Interstate 270 when his car left the road near the Route 157 ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from Coroner Stephen Nonn.
No other vehicles were involved. He was wearing a seat belt and his airbags had deployed, according to the release.
Police were called at 4:40 p.m., and Madison County Coroner's Investigator Kelsey Wofford pronounced him dead at 5:10 p.m.
Toxicology tests are pending. The Illinois State Police are investigating.
Funeral arrangements are pending with the Irwin Chapel of Granite City.
