JACKSON, MS : Teen riding bike hit by car in Jackson on May, Wednesday, 17th 2017

A teenager is injured and the bike he was riding split in two. It happened on Longwood Drive just off Smallwood Street in Jackson Wednesday evening around 7:20 p.m. Neighbors say the teen riding his bike was hit by a small compact car. The boy slammed into the windshield of that car. The windshield was smashed in from the impact.

Jackson Police Commander Tyree Jones says the child was taken to a hospital with injuries, but there is no word on the extent of the injuries or his identity.
