FAIRFIELD, CT : 2 crashes each leave 1 dead on Fairfield roadways on Sunday, 19th January, 2020

Two people died Sunday in separate crashes on Fairfield-area roadways, one in the city and one at the city’s edge.

The crash in the city happened at approximately 4 p.m. when a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle collided on Waterman Boulevard over Interstate 80 at the eastbound offramp. The crash left the motorcyclist, a 30-year-old Fairfield man, with major injuries.

He died later at the hospital, Fairfield police report. His name was not released.
