Reno,NV : Woman dies in south Reno crash on February, Friday 16th 2018
A 73-year-old Reno woman was killed Friday morning after her car was struck at a south Reno intersection.
The Reno Police Department said Bonnie Saviers, 73, was turning left at about 7:47 a.m. in her Mini Cooper from Brittany Meadows Drive to go west on Steamboat Parkway. She was T-boned by a black Nissan pickup traveling east on Steamboat Parkway.
Saviers died at the scene, police said.
The two occupants of the Nissan pickup are juveniles and their names are being withheld.
The Major Accident Investigation is investigating. It was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
The Reno Police Department is asking for anyone who witnessed the crash to please call detectives at 775-344-2141. Several witnesses did not remain on scene and investigators would like to speak with anyone who might have seen the crash.
