NEW HAVEN, CT : Car crashes into river, driver killed into the Mill River in New Haven on Sunday, 9th September 2018

Police say a car crashed into the Mill River in New Haven and its driver has died.

Police say first responders arrived at the scene early Sunday after someone reported seeing a car go into the river. Police say firefighters went into the water but weren't able to free the man from the car.Police say they believe the car went through a fence and into the water. Police say it appears at this point that it was a single car crash.
