Barre, VT : Serious injuries in motorcycle crash on Sunday, April 24, 2016
A beautiful day for motorcycling turned bad for a Vermont man Sunday when he went off the road in Alburg and suffered serious injuries. At about 3 p.m. Vermont State Police from St. Albans came upon the crash on route 78. It was determined that the male operator, Larry Cameron, 59, of Alburg, drifted off the north side shoulder of the highway while traveling west. The motorcycle then went through a ditch and into a field, where it eventually overturned. Cameron suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from the motorcycle.
Alburg Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and transported Cameron to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. Cameron was listed in critical condition and transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Neither speed or impairment appeared to be factors in the crash, according to police.
