SLIDELL, LA : Driver cited in Slidell wreck that killed woman, injured 4 on Sunday, December 4th, 2016
A driver has been cited for a crash that killed a woman and injured four others.
Louisiana State Police say the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when 24-year-old Kilian Webster was driving a Pontiac Grand Am westbound on I-10 in heavy rain.
Webster lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the center median before ultimately crossing into the eastbound lanes of I-10 and getting hit by a Chevrolet Equinox.
A passenger in Webster’s car, 25-year-old Ciara Lemon, was severely injured. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
Three people in the Equinox were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. A 5-year-old in Webster’s car sustained moderate injuries.
Webster was cited for careless driving, driving on a suspended license and having a child unrestrained in the vehicle. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
