The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released the identity of the teenager killed in a head-on crash Tuesday morning in Coopertown.

Dillon R. Stewart, 18, of Ashland City, was driving his 2002 Mitsubishi Galant southbound on Highway 49 West when his car crossed the center line, striking a tractor-trailer shortly after 7 a.m., according to the THP report.

Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Robertson County Emergency Management Agency Director R.L. Douglas.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as 29-year-old Paducah resident Troy E. Ricks, was uninjured in the wreck, which occurred near the York Road intersection.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
