Annapolis, MD : 1 seriously injured in Maryland City crash on Friday, February 17th 2017

A 40-year-old man died after he was struck by a truck on Route 2 in Severna Park.

Anne Arundel police responded to a report of a man struck on Route 2 in the area of McKinsey Road at about 12:04 a.m. on Friday.

The man ran across the road from a gas station, police said, and missed being struck by another car in the northbound lanes before being struck by a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado in the southbound lane.

The pedestrian, who police did not identify but said he had a last known address in Georgia, was declared dead at the scene.
