A 59-year-old Danvers man was killed this morning in a two-car crash at the intersection of Sylvan and Federal streets.
The man's name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Danvers police, firefighters and a Lyons ambulance responded to the accident around 4 a.m. The man was taken to Beverly Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The driver and passenger of the second car were taken to Salem Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Both vehicles had heavy front end damage.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but investigators are considering the possibility of a medical issue, according to a Danvers Police Department press release.
The investigation is being handled by the Danvers Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section, with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services.
