Findlay,OH : Two drivers hurt in collision of tractor-trailers on February, Monday 5th 2018
Both drivers were injured in a collision of two tractor-trailers at the intersection of U.S. 23 and U.S. 224 at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
According to the Fremont post of the State Highway Patrol, Jeffrey McIntosh, 63, of Toledo, was traveling west on U.S. 224 when he failed to stop at a red light and collided with a truck driven by Sean Coleman, 39, of Westerville, who was northbound on U.S. 23. After impact, Coleman’s 2014 Volvo VNM jackknifed and went off the road, while McIntosh’s 2015 Freightliner Cascadia hit a traffic sign and an electric pole before turning onto its side.
The two drivers were trapped in their cabs after the collision. Coleman had to be freed with mechanical equipment. McIntosh was taken by Bascom EMS to Fostoria Community Hospital. A medical helicopter took Coleman to the hospital, where he was reported in stable condition, according to the patrol.
