EDEN, NC : Man, woman killed in wreck near Eden on Sunday, 11th September 2016
The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a man and woman have been killed in a wreck in Rockingham County.
The Greensboro News & Record reported (http://bit.ly/2cy4YSN) that troopers said the wreck happened about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at an intersection on N.C. 14 near Reidsville.
Troopers say three other people were hurt.
Master Trooper Chris Knox said in a new release that the victims were 40-year-old Filadelfo Bahena of Reidsville and 47-year-old Katherine Michelle Casteneda of Rocky Mount, Virginia.
Knox said Casteneda was speeding and driving erratically on N.C. 14 before crossing the center line and hitting a vehicle head-on.
A man and a 23-month-old child in Casteneda's vehicle were flown to a Winston-Salem hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was taken to a Greensboro hospital.
