Eugene, OR : Woman dies in single-vehicle crash on April, Sunday 16th 2017
Fatigue might have been the cause of a predawn crash Sunday that claimed the life of a Coquille woman, according to a news release from the Oregon State Police.
A passer-by reported about 4:15 a.m. that a pickup truck had crashed into a tree down an embankment off Highway 42, its tail lights still visible, the release said.
State police and emergency officials arrived about 5 a.m. to find Shayla Marie Coleman, 22, the sole occupant of the truck. She had died of her injuries. No other vehicles had been involved in the crash, according to the news release.
State police were assisted by the Millington and Green Acres Fire Departments, Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Myrtle Point Police Department and the state Department of Transportation.
