Duanesburg, NY : Third family member dies from injuries suffered in two-vehicle collision on Tuesday September 15 2015
Officials say a third member of an upstate New York family has died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision earlier this month.
State police say 56-year-old Betty Ann Brockhum was removed from life support Tuesday and died early Wednesday. She had been in critical condition at Albany Medical Center Hospital since the Sept. 2 accident on state Route 30 in Duanesburg, 20 miles southwest of Albany.
Police say 27-year-old Joseph Duffy was impaired when he collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Vanessa Cohn, Brockhum's daughter.
Cohn and her 14-year-old daughter, Summer Penny, were also killed in the crash.
Duffy was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter, among other related offenses. It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
