PLEASANTON, NE : Ravenna man dies in crash near Pleasanton on Saturday, March 25th 2017
An autopsy has been ordered for a Ravenna man who died Saturday morning as the result of a one-vehicle crash south of Pleasanton.
Chris M. Avey, 51, was driving a 1988 Ford Mustang north on U.S. Highway 10 one-half mile south of Pleasanton when the car left the road, entered the east ditch, hit an embankment and rolled. Avey, also known as Christian Avey, was ejected from the vehicle.
The crash was reported at 2 a.m., although the exact time of the crash isn’t known.
Avey was alone in the car at the time of the crash. He was transported to CHI Health Good Samaritan where he later died.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call along with members of the Kearney Police Department, Kearney/Buffalo County Fatality Accident Reconstruction Team, Pleasanton Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office and paramedics from Good Sam.
