Marion ,IA : Woman killed and TV meteorologist hurt in highway crash on Saturday Morning ,July 11th 2015

Authorities say a Marion woman was killed and a Cedar Rapids man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Iowa.Police on Monday identified the woman as 19-year-old Zoee E. Norton and the man as 31-year-old Justin Roberts. Authorities responded to the crash shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday on Iowa Highway 100.

Police say Norton was eastbound on Highway 100 when she lost control and slid across the median into the westbound lanes.

Police say Norton's car was hit on the passenger side of a truck driven by Roberts. Neither vehicle had any passengers.

Roberts is a meteorologist for KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids.

Police say his injuries are considered non-life threatening. The station says Roberts suffered injuries to his hand and sternum.
