Jacksonville, FL : One person dead in crash near Callahan on Saturday night, January 21, 2017

At least one person died in a crash Saturday night on New Kings Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Deputies said 36-year-old Vanessa Dixon's car veered off the road for an unknown reason.

Dixon's car then turned and then struck a tree.

Troopers got to the scene of the crash just after 9:30 p.m. It happened near the intersection of Forest Trail Number Two.

The crash blocked all southbound lanes of New Kings Road.
