A South Carolina television station is reporting that a South Kingstown 13-year-old was killed in an ATV crash Wednesday evening on a private gravel driveway near the town of Prosperity.
Identified the teen as Brandon Michael Austin.
Austin was driving when he lost control of the ATV, ran off the side of the driveway and down an embankment, then overturned.
Newberry County coroner Craig Newton said Austin was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt. A 12-year-old in the passenger seat was not injured.
