POLK COUNTY, FL : Truck driver loses control, crashes on I-4 on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2020
A semi-truck driver who lost control of his rig and crashed on I-4 was cited for driving on a suspended license, careless driving and driving with no seatbelt, the Florida Highway Patrol said Wednesday.
Carlton L. Goodman, 45, of Jacksonville, was driving the 2007 Volvo Semi-truck westbound on I-4 shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday and lost control of his truck, troopers reported. After hitting the outside shoulder, Goodman over-corrected across the roadway, entered the median and hit a guardrail with the front of his truck. The truck continued to rotate and overturned in the median.
Goodman was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center with mild injuries, according to reports.
The crash report noted that alcohol was not a factor, and the truck sustained $80,000 in damage.
