Hancock County, WV : Serious injury crash reported on U.S. 68 on Wednesday, 10th October 2018

A two-vehicle collision on U.S. 68 injured one man around 2:36 p.m. Wednesday, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Stephen P. Holcomb, 63, of Columbus, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet HHR on the eastbound exit ramp from Ohio 15. After stopping, Holcomb turned northbound onto U.S. 68 and struck a northbound 2017 Ford Explorer driven by Phillip L. Simmons, 35, of Bowling Green, the sheriff’s office reported.

Holcomb was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, and the crash remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
