MADISONVILLE, KY : Four injured in Tuesday evening collision on Tuesday, February 21st 2017
Four people were injured and an Owensboro woman cited for wanton endangerment in an early Tuesday evening traffic collision on Madisonville's north side.
According to a Madisonville Police Department news release, Tammy Brown, 43, of Owensboro was allegedly speeding south on Main Street and drove her 2002 GMC Yukon through the stop light at the Island Ford Road intersection.
At the same time, 39-year-old Nebo resident Rose A. Chafin was legally proceeding through the intersection from Nebo Road, and came into Brown's path, the release said.
Brown's vehicle reportedly struck Chafin's 2012 Toyota Camry on the driver's side, then continued to travel over a concrete divider on Main Street, where it then hit a 2010 Dodge minivan driven by 48-year-old Madisonville resident Kathryn Jessup.
Jessup's two teenage children were also inside the van.
"(Brown) became very hostile and started screaming, yelling and cursing at the other drivers and at officers," the release said.
All drivers and one 15-year-old passenger were taken to the Baptist Health Madisonville emergency department for treatment of injuries.
