A DUI suspect was arrested in a crash Tuesday morning that killed two people on the 5 Freeway in Santa Fe Springs.
The crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near Carmenita Road in southeastern Los Angeles County. A Honda Accord struck a big rig that was stopped on the shoulder of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two passengers in the Accord died at the scene. The Accord driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, the CHP said.
