Williston, ND : 83-year-old Williston man was killed on Wednesday, October 4, 2017

An 83-year-old Williston man was killed Wednesday when the 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan he was driving was struck by a tractor-trailer as the van tried to cross U.S. Highway 2 at 60th Street.

The truck hit the van’s passenger side, causing the van to spin and come to rest in the central median, according to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The 83-year-old man, who is not being named, pending notification of his family, was taken to CHI St. Alexius in Williston, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the semi was unhurt.

The investigation in ongoing, according to the Highway Patrol. and no charges have been filed.
