Santa Ana, CA : One person died, two others injured after a two-car crash in Orange County early Monday, February 8, 2016
Orange County authorities say at least one person was seen fleeing the scene of a two-car crash that killed a man and injured two other people in Santa Ana.
Police Corporal Anthony Bertagna says a Mercedes t-boned a Ford Mustang at an intersection early Monday.
The driver of the Mustang, that car's only occupant, died at the scene.
Officials say two men in the Mercedes were hospitalized — one with a fractured leg and the other with hip pain.
Police are searching for at least one other person from the Mercedes who witnesses reported running away after the crash. Investigators aren't sure who was driving.
Bertagna says detectives are looking into whether the Mercedes was speeding and ran a red light prior to the collision.
