Cedar Falls, IA : Six people injured following a crash on Saturday, March 4, 2017

Three adults and three children were transported to area hospitals following a crash shortly after noon Saturday in Cedar Falls. One of the children suffered serious injuries.

The crash was at University Avenue and Union Road at 12:20 p.m.

All of the victims came from the same vehicle, a minivan, which had been headed north on Union Road, failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck hauling a trailer with a car on it. The pickup was eastbound on University Avenue.

The minivan was driven by Sury Banduvula, no age given, who was transported to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo with minor injuries. Passengers in the van, Aneesh Banduvula, Nihar Banduvula and Brinda Krishnamoothy were all transported to Sartori Memorial Hospital. Darshan Arivazhagen, 3, was flown to University Hospitals in Iowa City.
