BIRMINGHAM, AL : 2 officers injured after BPD vehicle involved at the intersection of Interlaken Ave. and Georgia Rd on Wednesday, 31st July 2019

Two Birmingham police officers were injured after a truck hit their police vehicle near the Gate City neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Interlaken Ave. and Georgia Rd.Both officers were taken in an ambulance after complaints of bruising and soreness.

The person in the other vehicle did not sustain injuries and is currently cooperating with police. No charges are being filed at this time.
