ATLANTA, GA : Deadly crash on Downtown Connector caused by wrong-way driver Atlanta on Monday, 13th May 2024

A fatal crash on the Downtown Connector early Monday morning was apparently caused by a driver going the wrong way, Atlanta police said.

The Atlanta Police Department said officers responded to a crash near the I-75/85 NB Expressway and 10th Street NW around 2:35 a.m. Monday.

Officers reportedly found two people who were injured. They were both taken to the hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead.

Police said preliminary information suggests the crash was caused by a wrong-way driver.

No further details were released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
